1. Consider the invitation Jesus made to Levi (aka Matthew) in Mark 2:14 and then read Mark 3:14-15. What did Jesus appoint the 12 disciples to do?

2. Where did Levi (aka Matthew) the tax collector get the authority to drive out demons (vs. 15)? What type of training did he receive?

3. Discuss the temptation to “dress up” for church or even community group. Have you ever felt like you need to come “healthy” to church with your spiritual act together?

4. What are some ways we can acknowledge our spiritual “sickness” as a group to one another and be reminded that church / community is a hospital for the spiritual sick.
