(1 Peter 1:3) “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead …”

(Revelation 1:18 NKJV) “I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore.
Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.”

No death is ever final
When Christ is your
Living Hope.
(John 11:1,3 NIV) Now a man named Lazarus was sick. He was from Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister Martha… 3 So the sisters sent word to Jesus, “Lord, the one you love is sick.

(John 11:4a NIV) When he heard this, Jesus said, “This sickness will not end in death…

Jesus didn’t say:
Life wouldn’t involve death,
He said it wouldn’t end in death.
(John 11:4b NIV) … “No, it is for God’s glory so that God’s Son might be glorified through it.”

(John 11:5-7 NIV) Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus. 6 So when he heard that Lazarus was sick, he stayed where he was two more days,

When it feels like
God is doing nothing,
Rest assured
He is up to something.
(John 11:11-12 NLT) “Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep, but now I will go and wake him up.” The disciples said, “Lord, if he is sleeping, he will soon get better!”

(John 11:14-15 NLT) So he told them plainly, “Lazarus is dead. 15 And for your sakes, I’m glad I wasn’t there, for now you will really believe.”

The Lord hates what has
happened to you,
but He will use it to
work through you.
(John 11:16 NIV) Then Thomas (also known as Didymus)

(John 11:16 NIV) Then Thomas (also known as Didymus) said to the rest of the disciples, “Let us also go, that we may die with him.

Death from doubt.

I have to see it to believe it.

No death is ever final,
He is our Living Hope.

(John 11:20 NIV) When Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went out to meet him, but Mary stayed at home.

Death from discouragement.

Why keep fighting?

No death is ever final,
He is our Living Hope.
(John 11:17, 21 NIV) On his arrival, Jesus found that Lazarus had already been in the tomb for four days 21 (NS) “Lord,” Martha said to Jesus, “if you had been here, my brother would not have died.”

Death from delay.

Too little too late.

God’s delays are not denials.

(John 11:22 NIV) But I know that even now God will give you whatever you ask.

(John 11:23-26 NIV) Jesus said to (Martha), “Your brother will rise again.”
(NS) 24 Martha answered, “I know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.” 25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life.
(NS) The one who believes in me will live, even though they die…Do you believe this?”

Resurrection is not an event,
it’s a Person
(John 11:39) “Take away the stone,” He said.

(John 11:43) Jesus called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!”

Jesus knows your condition
but He’s calling you by your name.

(John 11:44 NIV) The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face.

Jesus said to them, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.

No death is ever final,
He is our Living Hope.

We Must Remember:
