Big difference between an INHERITANCE and a LEGACY:
Inheritance = temporarily brings loved ones happiness.
Legacy = permanently transforms them.
Inheritance = eventually fades as it is spent.
Legacy = lives on long after you die.
Inheritance = something you leave TO your family.
Legacy = something you leave IN your family and loved ones.

Genesis 23:1-20

“Better to spend your time at funerals than at parties. After all, everyone dies -- so the living should take this to heart.”
Ecclesiastes 7:2
Lessons to Consider: How to Leave a Godly Legacy!
1st Lesson: Base all Our Priorities on Heaven, not Earth.

Hebrews 11:13-16

Genesis is the book of beginnings with many “firsts” …
...The 1st time God spoke
...The 1st time sin happened
...The 1st time there was forgiveness
...The 1st time there was worship
...The 1st time there were tears mentioned in the Bible
Lessons to Consider: How to Leave a Godly Legacy!
2nd Lesson: The Most Important Day of Our Marriage Will Be Our Last.
“If you aim for heaven, you get earth thrown in. If you aim for earth, you’ll get neither.”
~ C.S. Lewis
Lessons to Consider: How to Leave a Godly Legacy!
3rd Lesson: Real Legacies are About People, Not Possessions.
The things I hold most valuable, the things passed on to me from the generations before aren’t things at all, it’s faith.

Psalms 78:1-7

Step One: Show Up, consistently.
Step Two: Be Present.
Step Three: Be prepared…
The greatest legacy one can pass on isn’t money or other material things accumulated in one’s life, but rather a legacy of character and faith.
