We’ll put so much attention on them,
that we miss out on the blessings God has given us.

(Ecclesiastes 4:6) Better one handful with tranquility than two handfuls with toil and chasing after the wind.

(Philippians 4:11-13) I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty.

I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.

I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

1. Realize what we have.

(1 Timothy 1:15-17) Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst.

But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life.

Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
2. Make God our source.

(Philippians 2:12-13) Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed--not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence –

continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.

Christianity is like a onion peeled backwards.
Every layer you peel is bigger then the one before.

(1 Timothy 6:6 NLT) Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth.
3. Live our life on purpose.

(Philippians 3:12-14) Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.

Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it.

But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus
