Philippians 2:1-4

I. "SO" A Review
A) Phil. 1:3-5 “I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.”
B) Phil. 1:9 "And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment"
C) Phil. 1:18 "What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed, and in that I rejoice.
D) Worthy of the Gospel."
1) What IS the Gospel? 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 “Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures,”
E) "For it has been granted to you that for the sake of Christ you should not only believe in him but also suffer for his sake, engaged in the same conflict that you saw I had and now hear that I still have.”
II. IF. . .Then
A) There is any encouragement in Christ.
B) There is any comfort from love.
C) There is any participation in the Spirit
D) THEN complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind.
III. Remember last week when we said that a hallmark of Gospel living is replacement of sin with obedience.
A) Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit. but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.
B) Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.”
C) Revelation 5:11-14 "Then I looked, and I heard around the throne and the living creatures and the elders the voice of many angels, numbering myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands, saying with a loud voice, “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!” And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying, “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!” And the four living creatures said, “Amen!” and the elders fell down and worshiped."
