Similarities between Matthew 25 and Luke 19:
· God expects a return on investment.
· All of God’s servants are held accountable.
· Not all servants are profitable.
· Our Lord will eventually judge.
Notable differences between these two parables:
· One parable, the servants are given varying gifts,
· And in the other, they are given identical gifts.
· Rewards were different…
· The parable of the minas emphasizes the opposition the inhabitants
The characters of the parable:
· There's a nobleman about to come into his kingdom (Jesus)
· Servants (doulos, slaves) that would do his business in his absence

Luke 19 reveals that we must Do ALL We Can, why?
We have been entrusted with resources (vv. 13a)
· Given the same gift
· What's been given is based on the relationship
· Relationship w/ the Master changes our perception of money
We must engage in kingdom business (vv. 13b-14)
· The slaves were to USE the resources given
· Note: He says to engage in business
· The business is met with opposition
Expect accountability (vv. 15-27)
· 1st slave = fruitful
· 2nd slave = fruitful
· 3rd slave = no fruit (talking)
· Note that he says he knew the master
· Did the 3rd slave really know the master?

Question: In what ways are you stewarding all that you have to complete the Master's business to seek and to save the lost?
