In this series we’re looking in the book of Acts and studying the movement of following Jesus that began 2000 years ago and has spread all around the world. As we do, we’re learning what this movement means for us, for our church and what our part in all of this is. The best days of this movement of following Jesus are ahead of us and God invites us to play an important role in sharing His love and grace in a world that increasingly feels disconnected from Him.

(1) Share a time when you felt “out of place”, or you were in a different culture. What was that experience like? What was hardest?

(2) What things do you think feel strange at a typical church service for the person with little church background?

(3) What do you think it means that God is already present in our community even if people don’t recognize Him?

(4) What do you think it looks like to live out Acts 15:19? How do we make sure we don’t make finding Jesus hard?

(5) What does Paul do in Acts 17 to share the message of Jesus in a way that connected with the people in Athens? How did their culture affect his approach?

(6) How do you think you can help people see that God is already there in their lives and not far from any one of us?

(7) What can you do this week to share God’s love and grace in a way they can connect with? Who do you need to be praying for that they will see that God is there and not far away? Set up a plan to pray for them this week and look to share His love and grace with them.
