Guard Your Readiness

2 Timothy 2:21

If I am ready, God is ready to use me.

Ready people create a ready church.

Ready churches create a ready community.

Ready communities create a ready country.

Ready countries create a ready world.

But it starts with ready people…it starts with a ready you and me.

We’re ready for God to use us when…

1. We know the truth, live by it, and share it with others. (vs. 1-2, 10-12, 15, 25)

2 Timothy 2:1-2, 2 Timothy 2:10-12, 2 Timothy 2:15, 2 Timothy 2:25

2. We’re more concerned about pleasing God than others. (vs. 4-7)

2 Timothy 2:4-7

3. We pursue purity, peace and patience. (vs. 20-22, 24)

3 things that always get in the way…

1. Gossip and useless arguments. Paul says it three times in one chapter. (vs. 14, 16-18, and 23-24)

2. Lust.

3. Playing God instead of following Him. (vs. 24-26)
