Luke 13:1-9 NKJV
As we continue on the theme on waiting, remember that God is waiting on us to bear fruit. Let’s look at the four major lessons in our text.
Don’t judge people. How does Jesus emphasize that very important principle in this text?
The God who has every right to judge is patient. Think of how the patience of God is demonstrated in the story. How is God patient with you?
The judge was dealing with a fig tree in his own vineyard. Why is that fact important?
You who are quick to judge the tragedies of others deserve condemnation yourself because you have been given greater opportunity. All of us who live unfruitful lives deserve to be cut down. Justice demands the end of the unfruitful life.
This message is for you and for me for to whom much is given, much is required. There is _________________ many churches, not necessarily for sins committed, but for opportunities lost. There is the sin of___________. How do you know if your life is fruitful?
How can your life be more fruitful?
