“The God of Heaven and Earth wants to do life with you and I.”
Worship is the intentional act of expressing your affection and devotion to God in response to your connection with His Glory and Grace.
“An attitude of worship comes upon us when we begin to see God as He is and then respond to His presence.”

What you do on your job, at school, and in your home can also be acts of worship
"Worship occurs when we say to God, from the bottom of our hearts, You are the One whom I desire."

There is a battle for your worship:
“Do not worship any other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.”
Exodus 34:14

Blocks to connecting with God in worship
Anything that blocks your life with God will block your ability to worship God, and if your worship is blocked your life with God will be blocked.
Sin makes us fearful to approach the Holiness of God.
Distractions: We can be so busy we don’t make space to do life with God. Multi-tasking is keeping me from whole-hearted worship. - Francis Chan
Demonic: Share dream about worship
Tradition or culture may restrict you from engaging God freely (Matthew 15:8)
Fear of God or other’s opinions
Lack of connection with God

Practical Application:
-Go to Night of Worship - March 9th
-Make space to be still and take in God’s word and/or a song of praise. Slow down and take in the scripture or song and pray asking God to speak or reveal an aspect of Himself to you. As you take in this moment and the truth that is being spoken respond to God by expressing gratitude and adoration. You can express it verbally, with singing, an artistic expression, or maybe you even attempt to write your own song or poem of praise. Maybe you make a commitment to devote your day as an act of worship.

We must never rest until everything inside us worships God.” Tozer
The point is to slow down and drink deeply from the presence of God and engage in an intentional act of expressing your affection and devotion to God as you experience connection with His Glory and Grace.
