Milton Vincent defined the Gospel this way ... "The Gospel is the good news of salvation for hell-deserving sinners through the Person and work of JESUS CHRIST."

Over the past few weeks we have seen a Holy GOD that demands perfect obedience to fallen man who has sinned against the one and only Holy GOD. From man we saw a Savior, a Redeemer - JESUS CHRIST who became our propitiation. HE stands in the place of the Christian, bearing our sins.

The question arises ... "What does one do with the Gospel?" "What does GOD call us to do with this incredible "Good News?"

One must obey the Gospel!

We have defined the very heart of the Gospel with Paul's words found in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 as the death, burial and resurrection of JESUS CHRIST.

Here's the question ... how does one obey the death, burial and resurrection of JESUS CHRIST?

From the Romans 6:17 passage it looks like one must obey a "form" or a "pattern" of the death, burial and resurrection.

Baptism into CHRIST is obeying a form of the teaching ... the Gospel ... the death, burial and resurrection of JESUS.

Not only does one have to obey the Gospel ... one has to live the live the Gospel as well.

The Gospel saves us and the Gospel changes us.
