Recap: In this series we’re looking to fix our finances. To do that we need to fix our focus. God asks us to look at money differently. It’s not what He wants from you but what He wants FOR you. Most of us usually look at ourselves as the owner of our money and possessions, but the Bible says that God is the owner. He owns everything and blesses us with everything we have. He invites us to be managers of what He’s given us & when we do things His way, it’s an investment not a loss & it sets us up to experience His blessing in our lives.
Questions:
(1)How was money handled in your home growing up? What was your view of money when you were younger?
(2)We said that fear often keeps us from trusting God with our money and resources. Where does fear most often trip you up in regards to your finances? Why?
(3)Fear and faith go hand in hand and fear has always been a principal enemy of a growing faith. Where do you think your fear has hindered your faith?
(4)Read 2 Corinthians 9:6-13. What does this tell you about God? Write down everything you see about who God is or what this passage tells us about God.
(5)What does 2 Corinthians 9:6-13 say about us if we’ll follow his ways, trusting Him as the owner and our role as managers?
(6)Who is better able to meet your needs – you or God? If God is (and He is 😊), then what step of faith do you need to take to trust Him as the owner?
(7)How are you doing as a manager? 100% of everything we have we are meant to manage well. Where are you doing well? Where do you need to grow?

PRAYER: God, help me to see money differently. To trust you as the owner and to manage what you’ve given me well. To see it as an investment not a loss. You have given me direction for my good and the good of others. Help me to move past fear toward faith and experience the freedom of not having to be the owner. Show me what next steps you want me to take and the courage to take them. Amen.
