Creed: a set of beliefs or aims which guide someone's actions; or a set of fundamental beliefs.

The Apostles’ Creed, or any creed, is not on the same level as the Bible. They do not hold authority in and of themselves. They do, however, point us to the absolute authority that we know as the Word of God, and the Word of God, the Bible, protects us from spiritual deception.

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, the Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Who was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. The third day He arose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty, whence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting.

1. He never had a beginning. Who made God? Nobody. God simply is. He has no beginning and no ending.

2. Everything is dependent on God. Your next breath, your next moment, second in this life

3. God never changes. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

4. God is sovereign and always right.

5. God is matchless. Nothing or no one compares to Him

"You must begin with God, your creator. You exist only because God wills that you exist. You were made by God and for God, and until you understand that, life will never make sense. It is only in God that we discover our origin, our identity, our meaning, our purpose, our significance, and our destiny. Every other path leads to a dead end."

I believe in the One who goes with me.

I believe in the One who will never fail me.

I believe in God.
