INTRO:

Moving from a faith that’s “theirs” to a faith that’s “mine.”

CONSUMER vs. OWNER

In this series, we’re going to look at how people grow spiritually and how God propels our faith forward.

**Here’s A reality: God wants you to grow in your relationship with Him more than you do.

TRUTH

Today, we’re going to take a look at the end of a message Jesus gave called the “Sermon On The Mount.”

The sermon was basically talking about what your life would look like if you had a big, vibrant, and alive faith.

Jesus’ list wasn’t just good things to believe; it was things we do because we believe.

Notice that Jesus mentions two big ideas: hearing His words and putting them into practice.

If you and I don’t DO any of the things Jesus talked about, our faith will never change.

Jesus is saying that there’s more to our relationship with Him than just hearing His words.

In this verse, Jesus points out the reason the house made it through the storm, and it wasn’t just because somebody KNEW ABOUT the right way to build it; the wise man actually DID SOMETHING with what he knew.
