Families help ground our experience of life and provide for us physical, emotional, and spiritual shelter as we mature. For better or for worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health we love our families. Hopefully we all can experience the feeling of genuine acceptance and gratefulness for our families. God welcomes us into the divine family as father and mother through the actions of Jesus Christ. Through that awesome revelation of Jesus we come to know the family of faith that God welcomes us to. That said even Jesus’ family messed up sometimes.
