It is Thanksgiving week here in America, when we once again come together as citizens and give thanks to God together. Psalm 100 gives us some great reasons to shout to God with thankful hearts. El Salmo 100 nos da varias razones para cantar alegres a Dios con corazones agradecidos.

1 The Lord is God - Jehová es Dios

2 God made us - Dios nos hizo

Atheists can't explain how our universe appeared by chance from nothing, so they always pull out their magic wand, "millions and millions of years" as if that explains it all. Sorry, it doesn't. Only an intelligent Creator explains it. Los ateos no pueden explicar la existencia de un universo sin creador inteligente. Sacan su varita mágica "milliones y millones de años" para explicar todo, pero no explica nada.

3 We belong to God - Somos de Dios

4 God is good - Dios es bueno

5 God's love and mercy endure forever - Para siempre es la misericordia y amor de Dios

These are the reasons the Psalmist gives us to shout, worship, give thanks, sing joyfully, and bless and praise God's Name. Por eso, el Salmista nos anima a cantar, adorar, dar gracias, gritar, y bendecir y alabar al Nombre del Señor.

When you gather together this Thanksgiving, talk about why we celebrate Thanksgiving (see links below), read the Bible together (I recommend Psalm 107), give each person a chance to share one thing that they are thankful for, then pray together and give thanks to God. Things are looking better for the Cowboys, but you never know with this group. The offensive line worries me, and we still seem vulnurable to a good quarterback. Still, I predict a win today against the Ravens (20-17), and a tough win against the Deadskins on Thanksgiving (27-24)
