(Haggai 1:5-7) Now this is what the LORD Almighty says: “Give careful thought to your ways. You have planted much, but have harvested little. You eat, but never have enough.

You drink, but never have your fill. You put on clothes, but are not warm. You earn wages, only to put them in a purse with holes in it.”

This is what the LORD Almighty says: “Give careful thought to your ways.”
‘Tis the Season

(1 Timothy 6:17) Command those who are rich in this present world...

(2 Corinthians 8:9 NLT) You know the generous grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that by his poverty he could make you rich.

(2 Corinthians 9:11) You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion.

God blesses me with more than I need so I can be a blessing.

The more Americans make, the less they give away.

God doesn’t want us guilty, He wants us to be responsible.

(1 Timothy 6:17-18) Command those who are rich in this present world... to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share.

Social Justice without spiritual justice isn’t justice.
It looks like justice, but the greatest gift is withheld.

(2 Corinthians 9:6-7) Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.

Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
HOW DO I DECIDE?

1. The Relationship Question

Who will I commit to relationally?

(Psalm 92:13 NKJV) Those who are planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.
2. The Difference Question

Will it make an eternal difference?

(1 Corinthians 3:12-15) If any man builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, his work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light.

It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each man’s work. If what he has built survives, he will receive his reward.
3. The God Question

Is God speaking to me?

(Matthew 9:35-36) Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness.

When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them...

Lord, what would you have me do?
