We desire justice. Jesus' death on the cross means justice was done for our sins. We sinned against God and he has suffered our sins and chooses to forgive us. Things made right with God.

Human problem is desire to be independent of God, the only source of good and life. As we repent of our independence (sin), God gives us a new (regenerates) desire/heart to love and want what He wants, as he loves us and wants the best for us.
