Revelation: Courage in the Chaos
Look around. It doesn't take very long before you feel the chaos. World events are rattling. National news is disturbing. Local life is full of anxiety. We would be lying if we said there wasn't any chaos, anxiety, pressure, or fear. Truth is, it's all around us. But in the midst of the chaos, God is not absent. He's involved. He knows the end of the chaos. The book of Revelation provides courage in the chaos.

More about cornerstonefsm.church
Cornerstone Church is a gospel-centered church located in Fort Smith, Arkansas. We gather on Sundays to experience the goodness and kindness of Jesus, and then scatter throughout the week to make new friends in the city, share life-changing hope, and follow Jesus together.
Groups for all ages meet at 8:45am-9:30am. We call these "Bunches". Kids (age 0-5th Grade) meet upstairs, Teens (6th-12th grade) meet downstairs, and adults meet downstairs. We want everyone to "find your bunch" to do life with.
The Gathering of Cornerstone Church is at 10am and includes Christ-centered, Scripture-saturated songs, verse-by-verse Bible teaching, the Lord's Supper (communion), and the opportunity to make friends. During this hour, we have a place for Kids (age 0-1st grade).

Last Week: We looked at the the Non-Serious Church (Rev 2:18-29). Jesus is serious. We have a serious God–Son of God. He is serious about sin. He is serious about obeying Him. He is serious about our future. Jesus is serious. Are we? Superficial faith will die out. Admit your superficial tendencies. Believe in something weightier than the world—eternal salvation and satisfaction in God alone. Commit to longterm loyal relationship to Jesus though his church. “Revelation shakes us out of our complacency. It won’t allow us to settle for 'go to church on Sunday and live like everyone else' kind of faith. It shakes us out of apathy” (Guthrie)
This Week: "Zombie Church"

2 Be alert and strengthen what remains, which is about to die, for I have not found your works complete before my God. 3 Remember, then, what you have received and heard; keep it, and repent. If you are not alert, I will come like a thief, and you have no idea at what hour I will come upon you.

Jesus diagnoses the chronic sleepiness of the church and treatment needed.
How not to be a zombie:
1. Wake Up! >> Time is short. Jesus is coming! Don't waste your life.
2. Work out >> Finish what you started spiritually.
3. Wind up your memory >> The gospel you received is still effective. Keep it. Change your mind daily to see Jesus is God and you are not.
*We have a Bible Reading Plan every week to help, along with a weekly Bible study: Talk It Out (see below)

Jesus restores the church.
_____
4 But you have a few people in Sardis who have not defiled their clothes, and they will walk with me in white, because they are worthy. 5 In the same way, the one who conquers will be dressed in white clothes, and I will never erase his name from the book of life but will acknowledge his name before my Father and before his angels. 6 Let anyone who has ears to hear listen to what the Spirit says to the churches.
Will you walk with Jesus or with the crowd?

Can you imagine Jesus calling your name from the book of life to the Father in front of all?!
