Advent refers to the period of anticipation and preparation for the coming of Jesus Christ.
Advent is a “teaching season” that helps believers rehearse the story of redemption, and renew their hope in God’s promises.

Biblical hope is the confident expectation that God will do what He has promised.

To abound in hope means to overflow with a Spirit-empowered, joy-filled, peace-filled confidence in God’s promises—so much so that hope becomes the dominant posture of the believer’s heart, and shapes every aspect of life.
