God created us to be in connection with Him and with each other, so we could support one another to fulfill His will and manifest His glory on earth as it is in Heaven. But our adversary, the devil, seeks to destroy anything that manifest the glory of God.

God made man and woman in His image so they could co-rule together.

Ezer Kenegdo
- Helper (ezer) – she was created as an aid and companion so that together they could exercise God’s will on earth. They are both vital to each other, and to God’s plan.
- Suitable (kenegdo) – same, but different; complementary; like what is in front of him. Man and woman are equal in terms of their makeup.

Deception – Satan likes to get us alone to whisper lies about God, about each other, and about ourselves.

Consequences of Sin
- Satan – He will always war against the seed of the woman.
- Eve – Pain in childbirth.
- Adam – He was directly indicted for disobeying God, and the ground cursed.

1.The wife struggles in her role to respect and follow her husband and she attempts to take over his place. The husband’s struggle is to maintain his role as leader.
2.The wife will desire connection with her husband at a deep intimate level but the husband responds dismissively or with cruelty.
3. The wife has her own inner struggle in her role to respect and follow her husband and the husband has his own inner struggle in his role to provide love and lead his wife. (Eph 5:21-33
