Maturity - a personal journey of growth measured by: learning from experiences; gaining selfawareness; and accepting personal responsibility.

Intimacy - a sense (emotional, intellectual, experiential, spiritual) of closeness and connection in relationship.

Enough - that which satisfies desire, gives contentment; that which answers the purpose

Unity - the state of being joined; the principle of arranging elements to create a single coherent design or purpose

joined - unified, cleave to. (from the word for glue)
one - as a number and as an expression of unity.


UNITY - divinely created oneness and shared purpose; is a function of spirit.
AGREEMENT - alignment of thought and belief; agreement is a function of soul.

3 - endeavoring - make effort, be diligent. (The endeavoring is associated with the word keep, so we are not endeavoring to create oneness, but being diligent to keep an eye on the unity God provides between born-again people.)
- keep - watch over, guard.
- unity - oneness. (This oneness is a spiritual provision. It is what God does!)
- bond - uniting principles. (The uniting principles are stated in verses 4-6.)
- peace - harmony arising from reconciliation with God. (This not the lack of conflict in our lives, but the lack of conflict with God!)

13 - unity - oneness. (This unity is surrounding truth or the expression of truth. This is the ultimate agreement that comes from the work God does through His gifts to the church.)
- faith - firm persuasion of truth. (This faith is more than personal opinion. This is not a competition of whose truth we accept - it is THE TRUTH, THE WAY, THE LIFE of Jesus.)
- knowledge - recognition and participation in what is learned. (This a knowledge through intimacy with the person of truth, Jesus Christ.)
- perfect - mature.
- measure of the stature - this uses the standard of Jesus Christ to determine WHO truth looks like!
- fullness - complete filling up (of Christ).
