God’s grace is paramount in understanding the source of God’s gifts. Using gifts properly starts with the heart given totally over to God for His use as an act of worship, which is our acceptable service.
Trauma is real and undeserved, but grace enables both healing and service.
Spiritual gifts are not equal to being spiritual mature.
Genuine humility enables us to think realistically about our strengths and weaknesses, and to see our gifts as the continual outworking of God's grace in our lives.
I am to soberly consider my place as a follower of Christ. When I realize by time on earth as a steward and not a consumer, it helps to put it in perspective.
When one sees that Christ is the standard of measurement, he will not think of himself more highly than he ought, but rather think of himself with sober judgment.
Unity should never be promoted at the expense of the value of the individual. There is no such thing as an unimportant or worthless believer and gift.
Spiritual or emotional healing is not an end itself, but whenever possible, a process to where we can function better in the body of Christ.
Grace that works begins with thinking rightly about ourselves, continues in using our gifts faithfully, and ends in the unity of a body that glorifies Christ
