The Christian Life is filled with God’s Grace not our greed

This is a Christian using his superior status and wealth for injustice in a small claim court against another Christian of lower standing = “have mores” plundering the “have less.”
9-11 Grace to live out salvation vs greedily indulging our selfishness
Greed is essence of these sins: the evil heart wants the evil it wants, and our selfishness always wants more:
Four observations about list:
-not new to anyone who has read the OT
-some sins listed seem not as serious as others
-believers used to live like this
-nature of sin is it deceives us into thinking no big deal
-power of God’s redeeming grace to transform us

Senior Breakfast: November 13
Folks 55 and up are invited to our next Senior Breakfast on Thursday, November 13 from 9-11:30am at BeFree Barrington. Our theme this month is “Thankfulness.” Don and Nancy Wasson will be our speakers, and we will have the usual good food, fellowship, and games. RSVP to befreeseniors@gmail.com
MomCo Needs Your Support!
BeFree MomCo supports and encourages moms with young kids in our church and community, but we can't do it without the help of others!
Here are some ways you can get involved!
KidsCo Leader - coordinate and organize our KidsCo program and volunteers with the support of MomCo resources
KidsCo Volunteer - care for and share the love of Jesus with our children while moms get the opportunity to meet together
KidsCo Teen Volunteer - assist in caring for our children, gain valuable childcare experience
Speak or Lead an Activity - share encouragement or special interests with the moms

Student Study: Sundays @ 9am
Students in grades 5-12: join us on Sunday mornings at 9am at the church for a breakfast snack while we dig into the Gospel of Luke.
Youth Group: Sundays @ 6pm
Our high school youth group (grades 7-12) is an opportunity for students to come hear the good news of Jesus Christ and create community through games, discussion, and events. Our goal is to meet most Sunday evenings with larger events once a month. Check the schedule at https://befree.church/barrington-calendar?tag=youth-group for location (most meetings are at BeFree).
