We now see the evil forces at work in the world.
Transgressions is the knowing crossing of a line.
"sin" is a missing the mark, an inbuilt bias.

"sin" is a missing the mark, an inbuilt bias.
Transgressions and sins are the outcome of:
- following the ways of this world
- Being manipulated by Dark forces
- listening to the desires and thoughts of our flesh
Some regard the World, The Devil and The Flesh as the "evil trinity"

BUT GOD...
Your Sins and Transgressions no longer have to determine the trajectory of your life and your eternal future.

If we are in Christ, there is a real sense in which we now have direct access to the Father through him, and we are meant now to be examples of his grace.
We are saved by grace, for NOW,
Our faith calls us, as God's Masterpieces, to actions which reflect his grace to a broken and hurting world

The covenants of the Old Testament defined the people of God, now Gentiles have been brought into God's family.
Supersessionism (sometimes called "Replacement Theology") claims that the church replaces Israel. That is clearly not true. What is true is that Jesus fulfils the Old Testament and redefines what it means to be a member of God's people.

In Jesus, we (Jews and Gentiles) are a new Humanity, a first taste of the New Creation, which is defined by the message of peace.
The Biblical idea of "peace" is everything in its right place.

Your primary citizenship is not with Austraila, but with the Kingdom of God.
Your primary family is not genetic, but defined by God's grace
A temple is the point of intersection between God and the world. Jesus was that and now we are to be that.
"being built" is not a finished product but an ongoing process.
Are you growing up into the "chief cornerstone" of "chief capstone"?
Are we?

View the Bible Project's Ephesians Outline
1. When Paul says we were “dead in our transgressions and sins,” what does that look like in real life today?
2. Where do you still feel the pull of the world, the flesh, or unseen forces shaping your choices?
3.“But God, who is rich in mercy…” — can you think of a moment when God’s mercy interrupted the direction your life was heading?
What helped you notice and receive that grace rather than resist it?
4. We’re told we are God’s handiwork, created for good works He prepared in advance.
What do you think those “good works” might look like in your everyday life right now?
5. Paul says Jesus “destroyed the barrier” and made one new humanity.
What dividing walls do you see still standing — in your church, your community, or your own heart — and what might it mean to let Jesus tear them down?
6. “You are being built together to become a dwelling where God lives by His Spirit.”
Where have you seen glimpses of that kind of spiritual community — and what part might you personally play in helping build it?
