Reading: Matthew 16:24-26
Prayer: Dear Lord, You are great and worthy of all my praise. I want to be Your disciple! Help me, Lord, to take up my cross and to give You all of my dreams and desires I have for my life. Please help me to empty my hands and leave them open to receive what You have for me. I want to follow after You. Please help me to find my life in You. All that I have, I give to You and lay at Your feet.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank You for Your great power and awesome work in my life. Thank You, Jesus, for enduring the pain it took to bring about my rebirth. Please teach me how to live this new life and how to follow You. I need Your help to know what to let go from my old life and what to embrace in my new life. Use me for Your glory and teach me to love as You love me.

Thank You for the freedom from my old ways and my new life in You. Please teach me what it means to no longer be ruled by sin but rather to live my new life for You. Thank You for Your presence everyday in my life as I learn to walk away from old desires and follow after Your ways.

Help me Lord, to come to You everyday and offer myself to You and help me to continue to put to death my old desires and passions. I want to keep in step with You as You reveal Yourself more and more to me. Thank You for loving me.

I want to give my life to You. Teach me, Lord, to carry my cross. Teach me how to follow after You. Please give me strength to follow after You. Help me to understand the cost of becoming a follower of You.

Use me Lord, as You have created me.
