Communion
Chapel Rock practices an 'open communion' meaning that if you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, then you are welcome to participate in the communion service. The elder/staff member giving the devotion will provide instructions.
God is telling them two things:
§ To the leaders / shepherds, He says, “You did not lead the people the way you were supposed to do, like a shepherd.”
§ And to the sheep, he says, “You did not obey the golden rule. Your shepherds were bad, and you imitated them, not me.”
BIG IDEA:
The way God loves sheep is to be stubbornly committed to their ultimate good.
SHEPHERDS, LOVE THE SHEEP
1. Strengthen the weak.
2. Heal the sick.
3. Bind the injured.
4. Bring back strays.
5. Search for the lost.
SHEEP, LOVE EACH OTHER
1. Don’t trample the pasture / muddy the water
2. Don’t shove around those weaker than you

BIG IDEA
The way God loves sheep is to be stubbornly committed to their ultimate good.
In John 10, Jesus called himself the Good Shepherd. The other three Gospels often refer to him as the Son of David. Jesus fulfills Ezekiel 34:23-24!
o HE is stubbornly committed to your ultimate good! Because of that, you can trust His leadership as your shepherd.‎
o HE will strengthen you where you’re weak. HE will heal you where you’re sick. HE will clean and bandage you where you’re wounded. HE will bring you back when you wander off. And HE will seek you with all his might if you’re lost.
VISION COMMITMENT
We BRING our brokenness to Jesus because a CHANGE to wholeness is the story we SHARE.
