1. The Test: Do you abide in Christ? 1 John 2:28a
A. Abiding in Christ means that the very nature of God, through Christ, manifested by the power of the Holy Spirit has residency in you that become evident by produced fruit that exemplifies Biblical Life Application.
B. Abiding in Christ means:
* Confession that Jesus is the Son of God: 1 John 4:15-16
* Walking in fellowship with Christ: 1 John 2:6
* Walking in open confession before God: 1 John 1:6-10
* Continues in the Word: John 8:31-32
* Indwelling presence and witness of Spirit: 1 John 4:12-13
* Love, unity and fellowship with other believers: John 17:21-23; 1 John 4:12-13
* Bears fruit: John 15:5; Gal. 5:22-23
* Continues in Church: 1 John 2:19
* Obeys and follows God’s commandments: 1 John 3:24
* Doesn’t want to be ashamed before the Lord: 1 John 2:28
