I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse;and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.’”
Reasons We Don’t Pray
“I don’t know how.”
“I’m too busy.”
“I doubt it works.”
Luke 3:21 “When all the people were being baptized, Jesus was baptized too. And as he was praying, heaven was opened…”
Luke 5:16“But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.
Luke 9:16a “Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke them.”
Luke 22:32“But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.”
Luke 22:41“He withdrew about a stone’s throw beyond them, knelt down and prayed…”
Luke 6:12-16One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God. When morning came, he called his disciples to him and chose twelve of them, whom he also designated apostles: Simon (whom he named Peter), his brother Andrew, James, John, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James son of Alphaeus, Simon who was called the Zealot, Judas son of James, and Judas Iscariot, who became a traitor.”
