Made up Mind: is a willingness do the hard and heart work to find and follow the will of God for our lives.

If you want your decisions to truly matter and know they please God, you need to understand His will.

Sovereign (what God will do),
Moral/Revealed (what God wants everyone to do),
Specific/Individual (what God wants you to do),
Permissive (what God may allow).

Because to know God's will is to simply know his heart.

Jonah1:1-3 1The word of the Lord came to Jonah son of Amittai: 2“Go to the great city of Nineveh and preach against it, because its wickedness has come up before me.”

3But Jonah ran away from the Lord and headed for Tarshish. He went down to Joppa, where he found a ship bound for that port. After paying the fare, he went aboard and sailed for Tarshish to flee from the Lord.

1. Clear Direction, Wrong Decision

When Lord speaks, you have the decision to listen or decline his instruction.

Sometimes our biggest struggle isn’t clarity but obedience.

2. Consequences of Running

Our decisions don't just affect us, but those around us.

Jonah 2:1-2 NIV
From inside the fish Jonah prayed to the Lord his God. 2He said:
“In my distress I called to the Lord,
and he answered me.
From deep in the realm of the dead I called for help,
and you listened to my cry.

Jonah 3:1-2 NIV
1Then the word of the Lord came to Jonah a second time: 2“Go to the great city of Nineveh and proclaim to it the message I give you.”
3Jonah obeyed the word of the Lord and went to Nineveh. Now Nineveh was a very large city; it took three days to go through it.
