Living in the Last Days

2 Timothy 3:1–5“But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—having a form

Power (Spirit) → Love (Christ) → Sound Mind (Wisdom).

The psalmist reminds us in Psalm 46:“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way.”

1 John 4:18–19

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear… We love because He first loved us

“Following Jesus together in worship, belong, serve, give, grow.”

John 13:34–35 (NIV)

:“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

Acts 2:42–47 together.They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

Perfect 7 of Belonging:

Devoted to teaching → We grow together.
Devoted to fellowship → We carry each other’s burdens.
Breaking bread & prayer → Belonging happens around tables.
Signs & wonders → God moves in community.
Everything in common → Generosity flows when we’re connected.
Glad & sincere hearts → Joy multiplies in community.
The Lord added daily → Belonging itself became evangelism.

We need actual Christian community.

A community with God’s power.
A community living Christ’s love.
A community led by the Holy Spirit.
A community walking in unity.
