1. We forget Christ’s PATIENCE when we become obsessed with our own GREATNESS.
A. The disciples couldn’t understand because they couldn’t accept the last will be FIRST, the humble is EXALTED, and poor are RICH in the Kingdom of God.
B. The patience we have with ONE ANOTHER reveals are awareness of God’s patience with US.
C. Power, in the kingdom, isn’t found in the highest of POSITIONS but in the lowliest of SERVANTS.
2. We lose sight of Christ’s MERCY when we try to define our own SIGNIFICANCE.
A. Servant leadership doesn’t mean the ABDICATION of authority, it means a humble DISPOSITION of the heart.
3. We EXCLUDE one another when we obsess over RECOGNITION.
A. Jealousy is when I take someone’s SUCCESS as my own personal FAILURE.
