Jeremiah 10:13 (ESV)
‌When God utters his voice, there is a tumult of waters in the heavens, and he makes the mist rise from the ends of the earth. He makes lightning for the rain, and he brings forth the wind from his storehouses.

When we lift up our voice to the Lord something starts to happen.

Isaiah 58:1 (ESV)
“Cry aloud; do not hold back; lift up your voice like a trumpet;

Why do we lift up our voices?

It’s a declaration of triumph

It’s a declaration of truth

‌There’s power in your mouth.

God never intended for you to lift your voice alone. We are called to lift our voices together.

Romans 15:5-6 (ESV)
5 May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, 6 that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The early church understood the power of this as they faced threats of persecution.

Acts 4:24 (ESV)
‌24 And when they heard it, they lifted their voices together to God…

‌Acts 4:31 (ESV)
31 And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness.

There is something powerful about coming together in agreement.

Why do we lift up our voices together?

It’s an act of agreement.

Matthew 18:18-20 (ESV)
18 Truly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. 19 Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”

We don’t ARRIVE anywhere meaningful by accident...we arrive there on purpose.

44 And all who believed were together and had all things in common. 45 And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need.

1. We win together when we serve together

They held all things together in common. They worked together to meet needs.

2. We win together when we give together

Acts 4:32-35 (ESV)
32 Now the full number of those who believed were of one heart and soul, and no one said that any of the things that belonged to him was his own, but they had everything in common. 33 And with great power the apostles were giving their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was upon them all. 34 There was not a needy person among them, for as many as were owners of lands or houses sold them and brought the proceeds of what was sold 35 and laid it at the apostles’ feet, and it was distributed to each as any had need.

Commit to Faithful Giving.

3. We win together when we grow together.

46 And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.
