The “last days” began on the Day of Pentecost.
Acts 2:17-18 NIV In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people.Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams.18 Even on my servants, both men and women, and they will prophesy. That was the beginning.
The “last days” will end with the Return of Jesus

1. The Meaning of “Last Days”
Eschatology is the study of the “last things” — what the Bible teaches about the end of the world, the return of Jesus, the final judgment, and the renewal of all creation.

2 Timothy 3:1-5 NIV But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.
We are the people of God who embody both a PRESENT REALITY and a FUTURE HOPE, and we are committed to God’s unwavering plan to REDEEM, to RESTORE, and to REIGN!

3. Life in the Word of God
2 Timothy 3:10-12 NIV You, however, know all about my teaching, my way of life, my purpose, faith, patience, love, endurance, 11 persecutions, sufferings—what kinds of things happened to me in Antioch, Iconium and Lystra, the persecutions I endured. Yet the Lord rescued me from all of them.

So, what do we do in a world that looks like 2 Timothy 3?
We live the opposite.
When the world is selfish—we serve.
When the world is greedy—we give.
When the world is vulgar—we speak grace.
When the world is entitled—we live with gratitude.
When the world is unholy—we honor the sacred.

2 Timothy 3:13 NIV ...while evildoers and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.
But in verse 14, Paul gives marching orders: But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of.
But in verse 14, Paul gives marching orders: But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of.
And then he reminds us in verse 16: “All Scripture is God-breathed…"
God breathed it into the writers.
God breathes it into us…the readers.
What God’s Breath Does:
It creates
It transforms
It heals and reveals

Paul says the Word of God is Profitable:
For teaching us how to live.
For rebuking error and rebellion.
For correcting and putting people back on their feet.
For training in righteousness--right relationship with God.
