Message Outline
1. Intro
2. Scripture
3. Dinner Conversation
4. Uncovering the Parable
5. The Good News
6. Accepting the Invitation
Next Steps
1. In prayer this week, give God thanks for extending the invitation to the Kingdom of God to all people no matter how others see them, and ask God to give you his eyes to see others with his love.

2. Reflect on what it means in your life to make Christ's heart your own heart, where do these reflections guide your care?

3. Consider finding ways to invite others into community with you and care for them without seeking anything in return and discover what the Kingdom of God is all about.
Growth Group / Personal Reflection Questions
1. What does it mean to you to know that God extends the invitation to the kingdom of God to you?

2. How do you feel about Jesus’s focus on caring for “the poor, the crippled, the blind, and the lame”? Why do you think he says this to the Pharisees and Lawyers?

3. What did you make of the excuses of the characters in the parable? How do we make excuses in our own lives instead of doing God’s will?

4. What does it mean to you to make Christ’s heart your own heart?

5. When you read this parable, try and out your self in the perspective of Jesus, then the Pharisees, then the poor, and finally you again listening today. How does this passage change from each perspective?
