Mulligan Month: Remember Your Word

Mulligan Month: Remember Your Word

This Sunday at Sugar Hill Church, we’re declaring Mulligan Month! If your “Word of the Year” has gotten lost in the shuffle of life—this message is for you. It’s not about guilt—it’s about grace. You’ll be invited to reposition, rewrite, remain, and rely on God again. Come be reminded that God’s not done with your story, and it’s never too late for a fresh start!

We all need a mulligan sometimes.

We often feel:
Discouraged
Guilty
Lost
Overwhelmed
Hopeless

God is not disappointed by your drift—He’s already made a way back.
1: REPOSITION YOURSELF TO LISTEN
“I will stand at my guard post…”
- When was the last time you truly got still?
- When was the last time you asked God again: “Lord, is this still my Word?”
- What are You saying in this season?
- What do You want to do in me now?
Before God gives fresh direction, He invites renewed attention.

2: REWRITE THE VISION
“Write down the vision and inscribe it clearly on tablets, so that one who reads it mayrun.”
public, permanent, and accessible.
plain, distinct, and legible.
- Have you buried it in the junk drawer of life?
- Have you been distracted? Discouraged? Doubtful?

Practically "rewriting the vision" today:
1 | Find Your "Tablet"
- The Physical
- The Digital
- The Journal

2 | Inscribe it Clearly

3 | Re-read it. Recommit to it. Re-engage with it.

4 | Or—if the season has changed—ask for a new Word.

"You can’t run with a vision you’ve forgotten."

3: REMAIN STEADY IN THE WAITING
“For the vision is yet for the appointed time… though it delays, wait for it; it will certainly come…”
There’s a gap between Word received and Word fulfilled.
“Faithfulness in the middle is what brings fruit in the end.”

Remaining steady in the waiting:
1 | Keep Showing Up (Even When You Don't Feel Like It)

2 | Keep Praying (Even When It Feels Like You're Talking to a Wall)

3 | Keep Living That Word (Even When You Can't See the Results Yet)
“Faithfulness in the middle is what brings fruit in the end.”

4: RELY ON FAITH, NOT PERFECTION
“But the righteous one will live by his faith.”
God contrasts two types of people: the proud and the righteous.
“Perfection tries to impress God. Faith just follows Him.”

Reposition your heart to listen.
Rewrite the vision God gave you.
Remain steady even if it’s slow.
Rely on faith.

This is your mulligan moment.
You haven’t ruined your year. You’ve just been invited to refocus it.
