Kingdom: The Ascent Pt 8 - When Revenge Feels Right
In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus lays out a bold vision for life in the Kingdom of God—one that doesn’t just tweak our behavior, but transforms our hearts. From salt and light to loving enemies, from anger to integrity, we're called to higher ground. This summer, we’ll climb verse by verse through these challenging teachings, discovering how to live with purpose, purity, and passion in a world that desperately needs the hope of Jesus. It’s not an easy ascent, but the view is worth it.

Turning the other cheek doesn’t mean surrendering your value. It means trusting that your value is already settled.
When you surrender what you think protects you, God steps in and becomes your protection.
In the first mile, you're obligated. In the second mile, you're free.
What does my response say about who I follow?
Your response is a mirror of your maturity.

• When someone asks you for help, is your first instinct to protect your resources or reflect God’s generosity?
• Are you open to being interrupted by someone else’s need?
• Are you willing to give without control over the outcome?

- Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.
- Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

Fairness gives people what they deserve. Faithfulness gives them what God gave you.

You will never be flawless on your own. But in Christ, you will be faithful, formed, and fully His.
