Fear of God

Fear of God = reverence and awe.

Fear of God = reverence and awe = moral responsibility.

Fear of God means to possess a reverence and awe of God that results in moral responsibility in the daily pursuit of God.

Fear of God leads to mercy.

They were to show mercy because they had been shown mercy!

Fear of God leads to mercy

“But because I feared God, I did not act that way.”

The Fear of God should lead us to live lives of mercy towards others!
