BIG IDEA
A Jesus Church is marked by Resurrection life!

VISIBLE CHANGE
When the Holy Spirit of God begins the work of resurrection in a human soul, there will be a difference in their life! Jesus said, “you will know them by their fruit.” When He is in the process of resurrecting you, your life will change visibly to those who know you.

TRAGEDY IS REVERSED
Every time you watch someone come up out of that water, you are seeing the reversal of a tragedy. You are seeing God snatch life from the jaws of death.

LIFE’S TOUCH KILLS DEATH
It’s vital that we realize this: In both passages, Luke 7 and Acts 20, there is a violation of social norms. Jesus touches the stretcher on which the dead boy is lying. Paul touches the dead body. Both of them would have known that Numbers 19:11 says “Whoever touches a human corpse will be unclean for seven days.”
It was widely known in 1st century Jewish thought that for a living being to touch death was to become unclean. And that would still be true, except when you are powered by the one who is the Author of Life! Because when the power of the Author of Life is in you, that works backwards!

HALLELUJAH WINS
