1. Prayerfully consider in what, have you invested the majority of your life "building"?
2. Prayerfully recollect some major, personal "storms" you've faced in your lifetime. How might they have built resilience and/or faith?
3. If necessary, spend time in prayer confessing to God where you've mistakenly "built" on false foundations. In contrast, thank God for those times you've been "delivered through the storms" and the ways you've grown because of them.

5. Why were the crowds astonished by Jesus’ teaching (v 29)?
What sets Jesus’ authority apart from other religious voices, then and now?
