A Glorious Regiment of Women: Sojourner Truth

A Glorious Regiment of Women Every year Pastor David has a series on a figure from church history. This year, the series presents five women whose witness for Christ inspires us. The title parodies a book by John Knox, First Blast of the Trumpet Against the Monstrous Regiment of Women.

In the first century Roman Empire, Christians were _________________.

Questions to ponder and discuss:
1.What do you think of Sojourner Truth? Can you identify with her in any way? What do you admire about her?
2.When was the last time you looked down on someone you considered “less than” you?
3.When was the last time you were intimidated by someone you considered better than you?
4.How can we as a church put the three basic truths into practice more consistently?
