Main Idea: In tonight’s teaching we’ll look at how Jesus healed a deaf man and broke through barriers that seemed to be impossible in order to minister to him.

Effective ministry is not in the crowds we can draw. It’s in the small, personal interactions of meeting people where they are at.
A. What I run to in private DEVOTION, will be what I look to in public MINISTRY.
B. Success will tempt us to think that our SERVICE for Him is more important than our LOVE of him.
2. Compassion & Mercy - Minister from where you came FROM, not where you ARE.
A. Ministering with impatience will create DISAPPOINTMENT in our own hearts and DISCOURAGEMENT in those we lead.
3. Accessibility & Devotion - We are not always to SOLVE one another’s burdens but we are called to BEAR them.
A. True compassion doesn’t just FEEL for the situation, it REACHES out to the person.
4. Christ’s purpose isn’t to get us to a PLACE that lacks nothing. It’s to give us a RELATIONSHIP that lacks nothing.
