The Book of Acts: The beginnings of the Jesus Movement

Apostle Paul file:

First, about the name thing:

Saul – his Jewish name
Paul – his Roman name

Wrote about 25% of the New Testament
Planted churches across Roman Empire
Apostle to the Gentiles
Paul’s life in the “right” lane:

o “Right” RELIGIOUS background

o “Right” ETHNIC background

o “Right” FRIENDS

o “Right” ATTITUDE

o “Right” APTITUDE

Paul was so “right” about everything that he ended up wrong.

Theme of part one:
NO ONE is too far from Jesus
We don’t like this part:
God knocked Saul to the ground and blinded him.
But it was for GOD’S BEST IN and THROUGH his life!

Theme of part two:
We all NEED other PEOPLE!
Ananias STARTS with YES!
He has some CONCERNS…
… Saul has followers of Jesus scared.
Ananias OBEYS God’s call…
… in spite of his FEAR.

And OTHERS are there to SERVE as well.

For us:
NO ONE is too far from God
So KEEP PRAYING, INVITING, LOVING & SHARING
BE THERE for others
Learn to START with YES!!
DO IT SCARED!
