STRESS according to the Oxford Dictionary
A state of mental or emotional strain or tension resulting from adverse or demanding circumstances.
Exodus 18:17-18ESV
17 Moses’ father-in-law said to him, “What you are doing is not good.18 You and the people with you will certainly wear yourselves out,for the thing is too heavy for you. You are not able to do it alone.

Exodus 18:23 ESV
23 If you do this, God will direct you, you will be able to endure, and all this people also will go to their place in peace.”

Matthew 11:28-30 NIV
28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
5 Ways for your capacity to increase

1. Our capacity increases, when we allow our bodies and minds to recover.

Exodus 20:9-10 GNB
9 You have six days in which to do your work, 10but the seventh day is a day of rest dedicated to me.

Hebrews 4:9-11NIV
9 There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; 10 for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his.11Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest...
2. Our capacity increases when we know who we are.

Identity is not found in what you do; it’s found in who you belong to.

“No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.”
-Eleanor Roosevelt
3. Our capacity increases when we know what we were made to do.

2 Peter 1:10-11 NIV
10 Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election 11 and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Greek is klay’-sis -
It refers not just to a job or career, but to a divine purpose.

For if you do these things, you will never stumble,
4. Our capacity increases when we are supported by others

Ecclesiastes 4:8-12 (NIV)
8 There was a man all alone; he had neither son nor brother. There was no end to his toil, yet his eyes were not content with his wealth 9 Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: 10 If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. 11 Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? 12 Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
5. Our capacity increases when God is helping us

The word prince in the Hebrew is Sar: The one in charge, Lord, chief, general.

Most of all of our stress just comes from ignoring God's principles. We have to seek him first.
