“We are called to be Fishers of Men, but I don’t do the cleaning. You see, I catch them, but God cleans them up.” - Steve Taylor
when we live on the edge of sin it’s not long before we move in with sin.
It’s dangerous to think you can dance on the edge of sin and have no consequences.
When we move away from God’s presence and move toward sin, most times we end up falling into sinful desires.
God is willing to seek and save all who are lost and want to be rescued.
When God is with you and on your side, it doesn’t matter how many people your enemies have. God will always triumph!
4 Lessons from Genesis 14:1-16
1. The Importance of Courageous Leadership
true leaders are willing to step up and take risks for the sake of others.
As it is written, "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go" (Joshua 1:9).
2. The Value of Preparedness
"Be ready in season and out of season" (2 Timothy 4:2).
Preparation equips us to respond effectively to life's unexpected challenges.
3. The Role of Divine Intervention
"the battle is the LORD's" (1 Samuel 17:47).
Trust in God's sovereignty and His ability to intervene in our lives, no matter how daunting the circumstances.
4. The Assurance of God's Protection
We can rest in the promise that "the LORD is your keeper; the LORD is your shade on your right hand" (Psalm 121:5), knowing that He watches over us with unfailing love.
