Memory verse:
“For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is
sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword,
cutting between soul and spirit, between joint
and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts
and desires.”
Hebrews 4:12 NLT
1. God's Intimate Knowledge:
We need to acknowledge that God knows us better than we know ourselves.
2. God's Omnipresence:
God is present everywhere, both in heaven and in the depths of the earth, and in every part of the world.
Futility meaning: in the Bible, futility (often
represented by the Hebrew word "hevel" or
translated as "vanity" or "meaningless")
generally refers to the idea that without God,
human efforts and pursuits are ultimately
empty, purposeless, and transient. It
highlights the limitations of human wisdom,
achievements, and earthly pleasures when not
aligned with God's will.
#3 God's Omniscience:
God has complete knowledge of our thoughts, actions, and even our physical formation in the womb.
4. Praise and Reflection:
We must move from praise of God's knowledge and presence to a personal reflection on ourrelationship with God.
5. A Plea for Guidance:
The psalm ends with a request for God to search our heart and lead us in the right path.
