1. In Psalm 23:1, the psalmist writes, "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want." How can we be content with what God has given us, even if it is not what we thought we needed?
2. What is the significance of people being called sheep and God being called Shepherd? Do you live as though you rely on God, or do you feel uncomfortable thinking of being so reliant on Him?
3. In Psalm 23:3, we see that believers follow God to bring Him glory ("for His name's sake.") How is this view different than the world's view on Christ's teachings? Do you ever find yourself following God with a different goal in mind?
4. What is a "valley" that you find/found yourself in? How did God work in that valley?
5. How do we understand God as a protective shepherd yet also as one who does not save us from all earthly troubles?
6. How does remembering God's provision, protection, and presence help you trust Him in your current situation now?
7. What stood out from the sermon?
