When Abram lied, his problems multiplied. When we lie…our problems multiply as well.

God is faithful to His Word even we show little faith or fail.

God is a God of renewal and restoration!
Many times, we need to go back to where we first encountered God or where we encountered God last, so we can renew our faith back to where it was when we built an altar to Him and worshipped Him and fully trusted Him!

Have you found yourself in a place where you have lost faith in God or find yourself acting out of fear? Maybe you are stuck in the desert. Head back to the Lord and renew your faith in Him today!

1.Abram took leadership and initiative to address the situation and try to find peace.

2.Abram then humbles himself and sacrifices his positional authority and defers to his young nephew by letting him choose the land and direction he wants to go.

3.Abram had learned his lesson and was acting in faith in God promise to provide for him.

4.Lot acted by sight, but Abram acted by faith.

“Life presents a series of choices. We, too, can selfishly choose the best for ourselves while ignoring the needs and feelings of others. But this kind of choice, as Lot’s life shows, can lead to problems.” – Life Application Study Bible notes

“Have you chosen to live or work in a “Sodom”? Even though you may be strong enough to resist the temptations, other members of your family may not be. While God desires for us to reach people in the “Sodom” near us, we must be careful not to become like the very people we are trying to reach.” – Life Application Study Bible notes.

There is a time in everyone’s life where we must choose to part company from our family’s guidance and protection and to put into practice what we have seen and learned along the way.

We too must choose to have faith in God and to follow Him because we believe and trust Him personally.

Our faith cannot be simply because our parents or family believes. We must choose for ourselves who we will believe and follow when we are on our own.

When we Repent and Return to God, He will Renew us and Restore us to the way He wants us to be!
