1. The Bible constantly equates having true WISDOM with having real FRIENDSHIPS.
2. True friendships consist of ADVERSITY
A. You don’t know who is truly a friend until you see who STAYS with you through ADVERSITY.
B. While our families helped form who we are, our friends reveal who we are CHOOSING to be.
C. We must know the difference between BEING loved by a friend and FEELING loved by an enemy.
3. True friendships consist of UTILITY
A. The quality of our relationships can usually be seen in the amount of TENSION they can withstand.
4. True Friendships consist of INTEGRITY
A. The reason why we may not HAVE great friends is because we are NOT great friends.
B. Following Christ shows us what it means to HAVE a faithful friend so that we can BECOME a faithful friend.
