Greed
The seven deadly sins are not what the “worst people” struggle with. They are the sins that we all struggle with.
Greed has less to do with how much you have and more to do with how tightly you hold it.
Greed can sound like:
“I’m just being smart.”
“I earned it.”
“I just want to be responsible and not be a burden on anyone.”
“I want to be generous, but I can’t right now. I’ll be generous when it’s safer.”
“I’m just being smart.”
“I earned it.”
“I just want to be responsible and not be a burden on anyone.”
“I want to be generous, but I can’t right now. I’ll be generous when it’s safer.”
The root of greed is not selfishness. It’s fear.
Greed says: “I’m afraid I won’t have enough."
Greed says: “I’m afraid I won’t have enough."
